Nepal is a country seated in the Himalayan Mountians with Tibet to the North and India on the remaining three sides. With a long history of overthrowing rulers and dealing with Kings, Nepal is now a democracy that is still transitioning from a repulic. With all the governmental changes throughout time Nepal has been able to maintain a firm grasp on their rich culture. One reason the culture is rich is due to the different ethnicities and languages that inhabit Nepal. The natives of Nepal are among some of the most hospitable in the world and often welcome those who travel to see their contry into their homes. Another piece to the cultural puzzel is the continuation of rituals that are performed. Some of these rituals include naming ceremonies, rice feeding ceremonies, and wedding ceremonies. The beautiful clothing also adds to the richness of Nepali culture. The traditional dress is called a Daura-Suruwal which holds several religious meanings and beliefs. The women typically wear the brightly colored and ornately detailed Saris.
